| I'm off to sunny hot Florida tomorrow for a long weekend. I took a vacation day tomorrow. Friday is my regular day off and since the month changes, I rotate to Mondays off in April. Hence a 4 day weekend WOHOO!!!!! I'll be visiting my best friend Jackie. She used to work w/ us here. but moved down south to be close to her parents... and get away from frigid snowy winters. Which this season i think begrudgingly was a good move; she would have hated Jan & Feb! | | |
| So on a gorgeous 70 degree Sunday afternoon, instead of staying home and watching Soapnet for hours, I got out of the house and did a few errands. And then my cell phone bleeps. Its a text from him, "hey, busy?" I texted back that i was on my way to the gym. Then i asked what he was up to. He replied just watching basketball (college tournament). and then he asked if i wanted to meet him later for watching tv, chat, dinner, and maybe movie. i 'm like hmmmmm  . I followed the book's advice and said nope "busy sorry raincheck?" and to keep myself busy, i stayed longer at the gym, went to the bookstore and browsed, then went to the beach. Most of the time thinking should have gone? i also have nothing better to do. HOWEVER, am i just a weekend girl to him? Busy during the week and yet nothing to do on the weekends? Am i like that too? would i want to settle for that? Why do I suddenly feel like Carrie Bradshaw? lol | | |
| remind me to save my work! lol i had a whole page full and about to post but then the windows all closed argh! anyway. So apologies for not blogging for a few months. Happy bday, Merry Christmas, happy new year, happy bday, happy St Patty's  So work was crazy last month. Our patient load was up to mid 50s (which i haven't seen before). I was so tired at the end of the day that i couldn't even do my full workout on the elliptical machine! But now we slowed down to mid 30s and we have to find ways to look busy. In other news, I started online dating a month ago. I started chatting with this guy late in Feb. and then we set a lunch date on the 9th (Friday) my day off. He was a little late getting to Maggiano's (my fav Italian restaurant) which gave me time to order a glass of white wine cuz i was shaking from nervousness! Lunch was very nice. I was fine after that. He thought i was a little wierd but thats just me lol and then the phone calls! He started calling every evening Sunday thru Tues. We decided to meet Thurs evening for movie and dinner. Thursday (15th) was my bday party at work. I wore a green blouse, black slacks and black boots. Jennifer did my hair kinda wavy. I felt like a hottie!! My friends got me a tray of cookies, two 8-pk of Kitkats lol, a Cookie-n-cream birthday cake, and Dibs (ice cream cubes made of cookies n cream). My friends know me soo well hehe. Later i left work early even though they had 3 emergency add-ons. I called Sanjay (that's his name) and left a voice mail saying i was on the way. I got on the highway and into rush-hour traffic. I get to the exit for home and he called back. Long story short he didn't confirm the place or the time. i was sooo disappointed. i didn't go directly home. so i just went to the bookstore and looked for a book that a friend recommended. After a few days of no calls from him, i sent him an email saying how disappointed i was. he replied backk saying sorry. i thought that was the end of it... until yesterday. He texted me on the phone. "hi" i replied back Hi. Then he texted " i like you" which made my jaw drop. I waited half hr before replying back i like you too. stayed tuned... oh i almost forgot  meet Midnight Blue ! | | |
| So I noticed that's it been almost a month (AGAIN!) since I've blogged. But there's really nothing to report since last time. Been busy at work. (today was a down day-i feel dazed and ugh nm) Had my mom's bday party few wks ago. Her sister and creepy uncle came. and i can probably downgrade him to normal status lol. (as opposed in the beginning "uncle @$$hole' then 'creepy uncle'. Then this past wkend, Mom and I flew to Atlanta to visit her cousin. My aunt and uncle drove there. It was an ok visit. Spent 90% of the time at either vegetable markets or Indian grocery stores GRR! wtf  That's about it oh, I probably wouldn't have blogged if i hadn't seen the following article on yahoo. I saw it and thought of 2 fav people of mine.

If you're dying to write the next great novel, then this is the month for you. November happens to be National Novel Writing Month, a fast and furious sprint to pump out a 175-page book -- that's 50,000 words. NaNoWriMo began in San Francisco in 1999 by Chris Baty and 21 friends. By last year, nearly 60,000 scribblers worldwide signed on, with almost 10,000 completing their novels. This project is about output over quality. These proto-novelists whip out horror tales, chick lit, and fantasy yarns with equal gusto. And with hordes of fellow writers taking up the challenge, you don't have to be in a room alone. Part of the attraction of NaNoWriMo is the community it builds around the event. Whether in online forums, over the airwaves, or in cafés, writers depend on one another for advice and support. If you fancy yourself a wordsmith, then turn off the Internet, ditch the grocery list, and stow the vacuum. You have to write 1,667 words (about six pages) a day to keep pace. You'd better get started.

| Yikes! I'm sorry I haven't blogged in ..... is it really 2 months?  oops doh Things have been busy lately. Our patient load at work went up. A few times we went out to unwind after work (mostly having this  dazed look like wth?) One of my friends from work(gosia) told me she is trying Match.com so i tried something similar. First i tried this Indian based website but one day i got this popup window from american singles com and tried that. Long story short, i had a REALLY bad blind date experience. I met this guy online but we didn't really have that much to talk about. So why did i bother going to meet him? We agreed to meet at a nearby Barnes & Noble. My friend Jackie came along to spy (if i needed help or anything). It was awkward! It seemed like i was doing most of the talking, and was asking questions to drag stuff out of the dude! While he went & got me hot chocalate, I could see in the window reflection that Jackie (who was late cuz she couldn't find parking) was finally there. i subtly phone texted her "EW" meaning get me outta here. I burnt my tongue on the hot chocalate trying to finish up and try to go. Finally after staying for the longest hour ever, i made an excuse and left. and called Jackie from outside and she said come back in so i did. I debriefed her and then she pointed out a book that she would buy for me. The title is is A Confident Woman (a self help type of thing) so far i've been taking notes from it. After we left the bookstore, Jackie and I went to eat out at Buffalo Joes (my fav wing place yum!) I feel like i finally know what friendship is. I mean this is different than meeting and being friends online. (me hopes this doesn't offend or hurt anyone  ) & then a few wks ago, I emailed Rajiv. and he seemed also glad to hear from me. In the weeks of no emailing, he finished thesis and defended it. (so now i can call him Dr Rajiv ;) lol He leaves Oct 8 for his new job in Portland. So we met one last time for a lunch date on Wed. and i was late for that!! I didn't get out of work in the AM til 11:30am and then i realized i had to be at the deli then to meet Rajiv. At least luckily he finally bought a cell phone so i called and said i'd be 10 min late. It was a nice lunch very comfortable compared to the previous blind date from hell. and I think i like hugging and being hugged. Now I feel like not only have i put the past behind me, I can move on and forward, which i previously thought i couldn't do. (did i mention my aunt & creepy uncle came a week ago) OH and over the years i've downgraded him from Uncle @sshole to creepy uncle now he can go back to being just uncle. Life is good :D | | |
